Hudong Zhonghua 2025 Outstanding Supplier Conference

On June 20th, Hudong-Zhonghua held the 2025 Outstanding Supplier Conference. Attendees included representatives from the Shanghai Chángxiāng Island Development and Construction Management Committee, Hai Zang Shanghai Bureau's Second Military Representative Office, the Group Company's Military Products Department and Economic Operations Department, shipowners, classification societies, patent holders, and over 200 leaders and guests from 65 companies, including some sister units. The conference was attended by Hudong-Zhonghua's Party Secretary and Chairman Chen Jianliang, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager Weng Hongbing, Deputy Party Secretary and Union President Qin Rong, Chief Engineer Song Wei, and Chief Accountant Zhang Yuxing, among others. Vice President Zhang Xiufeng presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Hudong Valves was awarded the 'Outstanding Supplier for Leading Technological Innovation' prize. The company's chairman, Jin Ning, shared his thoughts and experiences at the conference.

Address by the leader of Hudong-Zhonghua

Chen Jianli expressed heartfelt gratitude to all guests. He emphasized that it is thanks to the support of all parties that Hudong-Zhonghua has been able to continuously enhance supply chain resilience and improve industrial capacity building. In recent years, the company's high-quality development has been notably effective, with every breakthrough and leap being the result of partners working together. This strongly proves that win-win cooperation is the key to good business development. Looking ahead to future collaborative development, the company will focus on three areas of work.

First, we will build a united safety defense line and elevate strategic coordination. In response to the complex and changing international situation and industrial risks, the company will adhere to systemic thinking, establish a new strategic coordination mechanism, focus on the autonomous control of major equipment and core materials; deepen strategic cooperation between shipyards and equipment manufacturers, work hand in hand with partners, and jointly create a more secure, stable, agile, and cost-competitive modern supply chain system, leading the direction of industry development.

Second, focus on industrial upgrading to jointly build an efficient and coordinated system. The company will continue to develop a high-quality and efficient supply chain system, deepen the application and upgrade of smart manufacturing, comprehensively enhance production efficiency, and further strengthen collaborative interactions with various units. By leveraging each other's strengths, we aim to jointly create a mutually beneficial, symbiotic, and highly efficient new ecosystem for the supply chain.

Thirdly, deepen strategic cooperation to share new development opportunities. Leveraging our extensive product range, robust research, design, and construction capabilities, and the strong driving effect of our large order backlog, the company will enhance its strategic cooperation mechanisms with various partners. Based on integrity and transparency, we will jointly cultivate a world-class supply chain cluster with global competitiveness, writing a new chapter in the high-quality development of China's shipbuilding industry.

Weng Hongbing extended a welcome to all guests. He stated that supply chain stability is not only crucial for corporate production and operations but also vital for national economic development and the stability of industrial chains. In the days ahead, Hudong-Zhonghua will work hand in hand with all partners to achieve mutual success and create a glorious future together. Regarding efforts to solidify, extend, and strengthen the supply chain, he shared three insights:

First, we need to open up and foster symbiosis to activate new dynamics in our supply chain. Currently, the global economic situation is complex and volatile, with rising trade protectionism and accelerating restructuring of industrial chains. As a leading company in China's shipbuilding industry, we consistently uphold an open and win-win philosophy, comprehensively deepening global supply chain cooperation, continuously improving our supplier evaluation system, and persistently advancing transparent procurement mechanisms to build a more vibrant and efficient cooperative ecosystem.

Secondly, we must innovate for mutual benefit and forge new advantages in the industrial chain. In the new stage and pattern of development, win-win cooperation is key to ensuring supply chain stability. As pioneers in LNG equipment technology innovation, our company is committed to building an autonomous, controllable, safe, and efficient supply system. We will work hand in hand with all partners to create a community of shared development and destiny, jointly resist industry risks, learn from each other, promote each other, and improve together.

Thirdly, leverage digital empowerment to build a new integrated development landscape. The company is fully advancing its digital transformation and upgrading, collaborating with strategic partners to co-create a smart supply chain platform. This platform aims to achieve precise alignment between demand and supply sides, optimize resource allocation mechanisms, and provide more competitive development spaces for excellent suppliers, such as increased financial payments and business engagement support. Together, they explore new paths for green and intelligent ship development.

The Discipline Inspection Committee leader of Hudong Zhonghua delivered a speech on the theme of 'Integrity and Honesty.' He emphasized that Hudong Zhonghua will resolutely implement the decisions and plans of the Central Committee of the Party and the Group Corporation regarding clean government construction and anti-corruption work. The company will maintain a 'clean and close' relationship with suppliers, firmly resist any form of corruption, rule violations, and unfair competition, and adopt an open and transparent attitude towards partners. It aims to uphold integrity and fairness, continuously building a healthy development community.
