On May 20th, the 29th World Gas Conference 2025 opened at the Beijing National Convention Center. This is the first time that the conference has been held in China since its establishment, marking a further enhancement of China's important position in the global gas industry. As an important participant in the global LNG industry chain, Hudong Zhonghua showcased its independently developed 201000 cubic meter LNG ship three compartment scheme and 42000 cubic meter carbon dioxide transport ship at the conference, obtaining recognition certificates from LR, DNV, BV, and CCS classification societies, and signing a joint development agreement with COSCO SHIPPING Shanghai LNG for future low-carbon intelligent LNG ships. The fruitful development of new ship types signifies that Hudong Zhonghua continues to lead industry innovation in LNG transportation and carbon neutrality technology, providing important equipment support for global energy transformation.

It is noteworthy that Hudong Zhonghua, together with its subsidiary Hudong Valve, made its debut at the World Gas Conference and launched the latest generation of independently developed marine ultra-low temperature valve series products.

Chen Jianliang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hudong Zhonghua, led the attending leaders to visit ship owners such as Ka Energy, Petronas, Shenzhen Gas, CNOOC, PetroChina, and Sinopec, and had friendly exchanges on the ongoing projects and future cooperation plans of all parties.

Weng Hongbing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Hudong Zhonghua, gave a detailed explanation of the three compartment plan for the 201000 cubic meter Panama flexible LNG ship, showcasing the company's latest achievements in green and low-carbon technology, and discussing new industry concepts with major shipping companies.

At this exhibition, Hudong Valve showcased a series of products represented by ultra-low temperature globe valves and ultra-low temperature ball valves, attracting professionals from around the world to stop and visit, exchange and explore cooperation opportunities, and showcase the fruitful achievements of Hudong Zhonghua's subsidiary's independent brand core equipment in the localization of LNG supporting industry chain.

The World Gas Conference (WGC) is one of the three flagship exhibition events under the International Gas Union (IGU). It is held every three years and is the top event in the global gas industry. The event is presented in two major sections: a conference and an exhibition.

The World Gas Congress made its debut in London, UK in 1931 and has been successfully held for 28 sessions to date. The 29th World Gas Congress (WGC2025) was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing from May 19th to 23rd, 2025.

This conference, with the theme of "Empowering a Sustainable Future", will address issues such as the global energy macro environment and transformation, the diversity of global regional gas development, the development prospects of China's natural gas industry, the challenges and opportunities faced by gas industry infrastructure, and the market outlook and investment prospects of liquefied natural gas (LNG) through forums, keynote speeches, roundtable discussions, and high-level dialogues. Jointly explore the new trends and developments in the gas industry during the transition period of the energy industry.

The exhibition area of this conference is approximately 50,000 square meters, with over 200 domestic and foreign enterprises participating, including global top energy companies such as ExxonMobil, Shell, Total, BP, Petronas, and Qatar Energy. International enterprises account for 50% of the exhibition area, showcasing the latest achievements in global energy technology. It is expected that more than 30,000 professional visitors will attend the exhibition.
