Naming of the "Far Sea Endeavour" Wheel

On May 19th, the 174000 cubic meter LNG transport ship "Ocean Inspiration" was officially named at the Zhonghua New Plant in eastern Shanghai.

The "Yuanhai Fenjin" is the first ship of the 174000 cubic meter LNG transport vessel for the China National Chemical Corporation project of COSCO Shipping. It has a total length of 295 meters, a width of 45 meters, a depth of 26.25 meters, and a rated speed of 19.5 knots. The ship is equipped with the world's top cargo containment system and dual fuel low-speed engine propulsion system, coupled with a new cryogenic device, to accurately achieve dynamic balance between speed and evaporation gas. It can freely switch between long and short route operation modes, and its navigation adaptability covers more than 90% of the global LNG trade routes. It is classified by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and the China Classification Society (CCS).

Hudong Zhonghua's pioneering "domestic propeller+domestic SCR" collaborative power architecture in construction effectively reduces comprehensive energy consumption and interprets the future of green shipping with "Chinese efficiency". The ship has achieved the localization of numerous equipment and materials, further improving the localization rate of LNG ships in China and accumulating valuable experience for subsequent related projects.

It is noteworthy that in this project, Hudong Valve, a subsidiary of Hudong Zhonghua, has achieved a breakthrough. With the courage of "daring to be the first in the world" and the perseverance of "persevering in the green mountains", the company's independently developed series of products, including ultra-low temperature butterfly valves, ultra-low temperature ball valves, ultra-low temperature globe valves, ultra-low temperature check valves, etc., account for 85% of the entire ship, achieving a new breakthrough in domestic ship applications and promoting a major leap forward in key equipment for LNG ships in China. This breakthrough significantly enhances the independent supporting capability of key equipment for LNG ships in China, making outstanding contributions to the improvement of localization rate, and also providing solid support for close cooperation between central enterprises, helping China's LNG industry chain to move towards new heights in the localization of core equipment.
