In recent years, Hudong Valve has continuously innovated in lean management, implemented various lean measures, achieved good results in reducing procurement difficulties, improving production efficiency, saving production costs, and accurately meeting customer requirements.
Through preliminary analysis, Hudong Valve has determined that the primary goal is to reduce production preparation time. To this end, the company will remove customized components from the original butterfly valve bill of materials (BOM) and add project customized component part numbers. This adjustment makes the BOM more concise, easy to manage, able to more accurately reflect customers' personalized needs, and improve customer satisfaction. Simultaneously establishing a unique material identification code greatly improves identification efficiency, making production preparation work more efficient and reducing delays caused by identification errors.
In order to improve management efficiency, Hudong Valve will organize and proofread the butterfly valve standard BOM according to the new drawing number, adjust the BOM structure, simplify BOM management, reduce errors and repetitive labor, improve the flexibility and response speed of production plans, and quickly adapt to market changes. On the basis of maintaining the original material list without significant changes, the company has collaborated to develop a packaged parts model. After testing, its operating condition meets expectations, solving the problems of long procurement cycle, low efficiency, and cumbersome operation process. The simplification of the process flow greatly reduces the difficulty of procurement.
Introducing digital employees to assist the company in automating multiple business processes, freeing management personnel from repetitive information registration, organization, and click operations; Enable quality personnel to conduct targeted data analysis and understand quality reports in one image; Allow financial personnel to free up their hands from repetitive labor to handle other non-standard tasks.
Next, in order to facilitate pre production scheduling, Hudong Valve will produce a butterfly valve drawing and part number manual, detailing the drawing and part numbers of each butterfly valve, making the production plan more scientific and efficient. Through this method, production can be scheduled in advance, reducing the number of temporary adjustments and improving production continuity and stability.
These lean management measures have reduced production preparation time by 23.8%, drawing proofreading time by 50%, and bill of materials (BOM) complexity by 63%, laying a solid foundation for the company's long-term development and significantly enhancing its competitiveness.
