Speech by Chen Jianliang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Company
The company independently developed and designed a 9000TEU liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual fuel container ship
This type of ship is a green and environmentally friendly container ship independently developed and designed by the company, and specially tailored for the operational characteristics of Taiping Shipping. It has a total length of about 274 meters, a width of 45.6 meters, a depth of 24.8 meters, and a maximum container capacity of 9040 TEU, which can load 1308 refrigerated containers. Equipped with an LNG dual fuel propulsion system and a 7600 cubic meter B-type LNG fuel tank independently developed by the company, ensuring a range of 13000 nautical miles in gas mode.
This type of ship adopts the latest design concept, highlighting its green and environmentally friendly performance. Configure efficient host, energy-saving device, shaft generator, and high-voltage shore power system; The bow of the ship is equipped with a self-designed windshield to further reduce navigation resistance; Especially with the installation of a washing tower, ship owners can flexibly switch fuel usage according to market conditions, greatly enhancing the convenience of ship owner operations. A series of innovative designs have endowed this type of ship with the advantages of low comprehensive energy consumption, strong speed, and excellent green environmental protection. Especially on the basis of meeting the strictest international environmental regulations, it provides ship owners with more efficient, economical, and flexible maritime transportation solutions, demonstrating the market-oriented and shipowner centered business philosophy of Hudong Zhonghua.
The new ship adopts the company's independently designed B-type LNG fuel tank
It is worth mentioning that after years of innovation breakthroughs and technological accumulation, the company's independent design system for B-type LNG fuel tanks has gradually improved, forming a series of B-type LNG tank solutions suitable for LNG transport ships, LNG refueling ships, and LNG powered ships. The new ship signed this time is also the third actual ship application project of the company's independently designed brand B-type LNG tank. In July of this year, the 14000 cubic meter B-type cabin independently designed by the company has been successfully applied on the world's first and China's first river sea direct LNG refueling transport ship, the "Huaihe Energy Qihang", and has received high market attention.
It is reported that since the late 1980s, the company has successfully built ship types such as the 2700TEU series, 4250TEU series, 5688TEU series, 8530TEU series, 10000TEU series, 13000TEU series, 14500TEU series, 15500TEU series, 23000TEU series, and 24000TEU series. Especially a series of innovative designs have filled many gaps in the field of container ships in China, winning widespread market recognition and high approval.
The landing of the construction contract for 5 9000TEU liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual fuel container ships not only enriches the company's container ship fleet, achieving "full series" and "full coverage", but also brings the total number of container ships undertaken this year to 26, with a total amount of nearly 30 billion yuan, laying a good foundation for the sustainable and high-quality development of the enterprise.
The company will adopt new digital technologies to carefully build this new ship, and deliver it all by the end of 2028. Taiping Shipping plans to deploy these ships on Southeast Asia and Middle East routes to further enhance the overall efficiency of route services.
