On September 26th, the China (Changxing Island) LNG Ship Industry Chain Development Conference, jointly hosted by the Changxing Island Development and Construction Management Committee, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and the Chongming District People's Government, was held on Changxing Island. The conference unveiled the establishment of the China (Changxing Island) LNG Characteristic Industrial Park, announced the formation of the China (Changxing Island) LNG Ship Industry Alliance, and elected Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding as the chairman unit of the alliance. Hudong Zhonghua's subsidiary, Shanghai Hudong Shipbuilding Valve Co., Ltd., joined the alliance as the first member unit.

Xu Miao's speech stated that China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation is the leading force in the development of the global shipbuilding industry and the supporting force for building a maritime power. It is the world's largest shipbuilding group. At present, the group company has two assembly shipyards, Hudong Zhonghua and Jiangnan Shipbuilding, and many other units gathered on Changxing Island. It is hoped that these units will play an active leading and promoting role in the future development of Changxing Island, help Changxing Island build a high-end shipbuilding and marine equipment industry cluster, solidly promote the innovative development of LNG ships and other shipbuilding and marine equipment, and contribute more wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of China's shipbuilding industry.

It has undertaken more than 100 LNG storage and transportation equipment ships and delivered more than 40 ships, driving the development of tens of billions of yuan in domestic supporting industries, demonstrating strong technological innovation iteration capabilities and research and development design and construction strength.
