H1885A started construction

On the morning of September 5th, the LNG ship (H1885A) built by the company for CNOOC started construction smoothly in the eastern factory area of Changxing Island, three months ahead of schedule. 

Leaders and guests including Shengshi Shimoda, Project Manager of CNOOC Energy Development Co., Ltd., Lu Jieyu, ABS Shanghai Regional Manager, Chen Binglei, Deputy Director of CCS Shanghai Branch Construction and Marine/Chongming Inspection Department, and Zhang Shaoying, Deputy Chief Constructor of LNG of the company, attended the groundbreaking event.

This ship is the sixth in a batch order of 174000 cubic meters of LNG series vessels from CNOOC. The total length is 299 meters, the width is 46.4 meters, and the depth is 26.25 meters. It adopts the latest generation of dual stern fin type and is equipped with multiple low-carbon and digital technologies, with fast performance and low navigation emissions; High level of advancement and strong global applicability; Empty ships have light weight and strong cargo carrying capacity; The advantages of flexible oil and gas balance and strong route matching.

The company is currently building up to 19 LNG ships, and each production department firmly implements the LNG spirit of "daring to be the first, united, cooperative, rigorous, scientific and innovative", and promotes steady improvement in production capacity through "lean driving, digital intelligence empowerment". The Leading Department Manufacturing Department stated that it will continuously summarize the experience of LNG series ship construction, focus on lean production, continuously optimize construction processes, and lay a solid foundation for the company to achieve the goal of doubling LNG production capacity.
