On September 6th, the company held a naming ceremony for the 24000 TEU container ship "EVER AEON" built for EVA Shipping Co., Ltd. Guests including Zhang Yanyi, Chairman of Evergreen Marine, Zhang Xinyi, Chairman of Evergreen International Shipping (Shenzhen), Chen Jianliang, Chairman of the company, Chi Benbin and Zhang Xiufeng, Deputy General Managers, Liu Xuedong, Deputy General Manager of Changxing Shipbuilding, Yang Yu, General Manager of the Ship and Sea Business Department of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, and Lin Li, Vice President of Business at American Bureau of Shipping Greater China, attended the ceremony. Chairman Zhang Yanyi named the new ship, and Ms. Zhang Jiamei, the godmother, cut the cables and threw bottles for the new ship, wishing it to ride the waves and be full of wealth and glory.  

EVER AEON

The "Changnian" ship is independently designed and built by the company, equipped with a hybrid scrubber desulfurization device, and adopts the latest green, environmentally friendly, efficient, energy-saving, safe and reliable design scheme from around the world. Its unique small ball nose bow, large-diameter propeller, and energy-saving duct devices fully reflect the ship's fast performance and low energy consumption. It is currently the largest ship type in the world in terms of container volume.

The project construction team adheres to lean management based on a comprehensive summary of previous ship construction experience, achieving scientific planning, process advancement, and process optimization. The company has achieved the completion of boring, shaft system, and blade installation work for the first time in the semi ship stage; For the first time, the entire ship has reached the state of "three connections and one row" and "four machines and one furnace", achieving a qualitative leap in the integrity of the dock, realizing the goal of "shorter construction period and better product quality", and setting a record for the fastest construction of the company's ultra large container ship. 

The company has established friendly cooperation with Evergreen Shipping and has previously delivered three giant ships of the same series, namely "Changyi", "Changyun", and "Changchong". The name of the "Changnian" ship will add another "fierce general" to the Evergreen Ocean Fleet.
