On August 31st, the 14th Shanghai Pudong New Area Academic Annual Conference - Localization Development Forum for Key Materials and Equipment in the Offshore LNG Industry Chain, hosted by the Pudong New Area Association for Science and Technology and organized by the Shanghai China Science and Technology Commission and the Association for Science and Technology, was successfully held at the conference center on the third floor of the Donghua Science and Technology Building. The forum was hosted by Jin Yanzi, Director of the Company's Science and Technology Committee, and delivered a speech by Zhang Junping, Vice Chairman of the Pudong New Area Science and Technology Association. Chen Jun, Minister of the Innovation Service Department (Academic Department) of the Pudong New Area Science and Technology Association, and leaders of the Company's Science and Technology Committee attended, with nearly 200 science and technology workers participating.

Zhang Junping pointed out that the shipbuilding industry is an important cornerstone of a maritime power and an important pillar industry in Pudong. Hudong Zhonghua is the first shipyard in China to master the construction technology of LNG ships, and also the only company in China to have practical results in the construction and delivery of large LNG ships. In recent years, Hudong Zhonghua has made positive progress in localization research and development, which is closely related to the long-term academic activities and technological innovation carried out by the enterprise.

The forum held a technology forum around the domestic development and industrial layout of low-temperature invar alloy, low-temperature plywood, and low-temperature valves for LNG ships, with three experts giving keynote speeches.

Lu Jiansheng, Chief Expert of the Technical Center of Baowu Special Metallurgy Co., Ltd., Liu Yao, Chairman of Lifeng Composite Materials Technology (Shuyang) Co., Ltd., and Liu Yangpeng, Deputy Director of the Technical Center of Hudong Shipbuilding Valve Co., Ltd., affiliated with the company, reported in detail on the development of domestically produced materials and equipment based on their respective research fields, and made in-depth prospects for future industrial applications.

The attendees stated that they will take this forum as an opportunity to vigorously promote the development and application of domestic materials and equipment, and make positive contributions to the high-quality development of China's shipbuilding industry.
