On March 20th, Hudong Zhonghua held the 2025 annual meeting of the company's science and technology innovation and science and technology committee. Leaders Weng Hongbing, Hu Jingdong, Qin Rong, and Zheng Hao attended the meeting, and Song Wei, the chief engineer of Hudong Zhonghua, presided over the meeting. Professor Zhang Lihua from Fudan University was invited to give a report on the progress of AI technology and the intelligentization of shipbuilding, while Jin Yanzi, Director of the Shanghai East China Science and Technology Commission, gave a report on the work summary of the Science and Technology Commission in 2024 and the focus of work in 2025. Weng Hongbing fully affirmed the achievements of the company's scientific and technological innovation work in 2024, and put forward five requirements: 

Firstly, scientific and technological innovation requires top-level planning and guidance. Through scientific coordination of projects, plans, and budgets, the direction and goals of innovation should be clarified, and a systematic and standardized innovation mechanism should be established to provide a solid foundation for scientific and technological innovation work. 

The second is to take digital design as a breakthrough point, strengthen innovation at the source, empower AI and deeply integrate design software, significantly improve design efficiency, inject new momentum into the company's development, and promote business to a higher level. 

The third is to take technological innovation as the starting point, continuously improve production efficiency and product quality, promote the widespread application of innovative achievements in production sites, fully unleash the efficiency of automated production lines, and transform technological innovation into actual productivity. 

The fourth is to keep up with the development of the times, fully leverage the empowering role of AI, promote the comprehensive digital transformation of design, production, management and other aspects, deeply tap the potential of AI applications in various positions and scenarios, continuously expand application scenarios, and effectively improve the efficiency of artificial intelligence application. 

The fifth is to focus on the construction and improvement of the high-end talent cultivation system, strengthen the construction of talent exchange platforms, optimize talent incentive mechanisms, stimulate employees' innovation consciousness, and promote the coordinated development of scientific and technological innovation and company benefits.

Qin Rong emphasized that technological innovation should continue to advance, focusing on sorting out innovation difficulties and pain points, fully leveraging the role of talent training platforms such as the company's doctoral research room, improving the overall mechanism of innovation management, focusing on connecting technology, human resources, finance, and technology sectors, achieving standardized operation, and driving the company's high-quality development.

The meeting summarized the scientific and technological achievements of Hudong Zhonghua in 2024, commended exemplary organization and individuals, thoroughly analyzed the scientific and technological innovation work situation in 2025, systematically deployed new measures for scientific and technological innovation mechanism, mobilized the majority of cadres and employees to enhance confidence and cohesion, promoted the company's scientific and technological self-reliance, accelerated the development of new quality productivity, and provided strong support for the realization of high-quality development of the company.

In 2024, Hudong Zhonghua completed 550 patent applications, with invention patents accounting for over 83%. 22 technological achievements have won provincial and ministerial level science and technology awards such as the China Society of Shipbuilding Engineers and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation; 12 patents have won patent awards from the China Invention Association, Shanghai Municipality, and the shipbuilding industry; Three international standards have been successfully released and achieved excellent results in multiple authoritative competitions. As one of the few award-winning units of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, it greatly enhances the company's scientific and technological innovation brand influence.
