The settlement of RMB is going to another city. On October 28th, the company signed a construction contract for six 13600 TEU conventional fuel powered large container ships with COSCO Shipping Container Transport Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Ocean Shipping Group Co., Ltd. This is the second time within ten days that the company has won a new large order with Chinese yuan as the settlement currency, following the signing of six ships of the same type in Chinese yuan settlement between the company and Canadian Sisban Company on October 18th. It is particularly gratifying that this order brings together four major Chinese elements: "Chinese ship owners, China Classification Society, Chinese shipyards, and RMB settlement", demonstrating the joint contribution of the two central enterprises to the construction of China's maritime and shipping powers in terms of ships and shipping capabilities.

Hudong Zhonghua independently developed 13600TEU large container ship
This type of ship is another green and environmentally friendly container ship independently developed and designed by the company. It has a total length of about 336 meters, a width of 51 meters, a depth of 30.2 meters, a maximum container capacity of 14096 TEU, and provides 2000 refrigerated container spaces. It is classified by the China Classification Society (CCS). This type of ship adopts the latest design concept, equipped with efficient main engine, energy-saving device, shaft generator, high-voltage shore power system, ultra-low resistance anti fouling paint and desulfurization equipment. With low energy consumption, high speed and excellent green environmental performance, it meets the latest international environmental regulations and can adapt to future green fuel retrofitting needs, providing customers with efficient and economical maritime transportation equipment solutions. According to the plan, the first ship will start construction in November 2025, and the series of ships will be completed and delivered within 2027.

In recent years, the number of cases in China's shipbuilding industry settled in RMB has continued to increase, which reflects the continuous improvement of the international status of RMB and the rapid development of China's shipbuilding industry. China COSCO Shipping's container transportation business covers the world, with a total fleet capacity of 527 ships and approximately 3.26 million TEUs, ranking among the top in the world in terms of carrying capacity. It is reported that after the completion and payment of the batch of container ships, a part of them will be deployed to the Far East Mexico Express, which is about to extend its docking at the Qiankai Port in Peru, to provide support for Qiankai Port to better play its hub role and is expected to become the main transportation capacity of the "China Latin America Land Sea New Corridor"; The other part is planned to be deployed on the Europe South America West route, with the high cold insertion and loading advantage of a single ship with 2000 refrigerated container slots, which will meet the strong demand for cold box exports in the South American West region and better reflect the service and brand advantages of COSCO Shipping consolidation.

Since the beginning of this year, the global market for large container ships has remained strong.
