Summer Heat Workshop Cooling Tips

Heat stroke refers to an acute disease characterized by central nervous system or cardiovascular system disorders caused by the accumulation of heat in the human body that cannot be effectively dissipated under high temperature conditions, leading to disturbances in water and salt metabolism. Heatstroke is not a trivial matter and should not be taken lightly.

If we experience symptoms such as excessive sweating, thirst, dizziness, tinnitus, chest tightness, palpitations, nausea, elevated body temperature, and general weakness during the labor process, it is very likely that we have heatstroke.

In order to prevent employees from heatstroke, it is important to learn more about the workshop's heatstroke prevention tips:

1. Timely replenish water

Sweating under high temperatures is essential, and the workshop has sufficient supply of hygienic drinking water. Drinking plenty of water can replenish the body's hydration, prevent dehydration, and eliminate toxins from the body. But it is not advisable to drink a large amount of water at once, as it may cause water poisoning. It is necessary to drink small amounts of water multiple times.

2. Cleverly use heatstroke prevention drugs

There are always heatstroke prevention and cooling medicines such as Huoxiang Zhengqi Water and Qingliang Oil in the workshop. If you experience symptoms of heatstroke, apply some medicine in a timely manner to alleviate the symptoms and prevent heatstroke. (Heatstroke prevention medication is available at each team leader's office)

3. Supplement salt and trace elements

The high temperature in the workshop makes it easy to sweat, and the human body is prone to losing salt and trace elements. You can drink some light salt water or salt soda, and eat more fish, eggs, and legumes as staple foods to supplement the protein and trace elements needed by the human body, improve the body's resistance, and prevent heatstroke. Eating more vegetables and fruits in daily life to supplement the nutrients needed by the body can reduce the risk of heatstroke. (Salt soda can be obtained from the Safety and Environmental Quality Department after drinking)

4. Ensure adequate sleep

Under high-temperature conditions, the human body consumes more energy and is prone to fatigue. Ensuring sufficient sleep every day, maintaining a clear and energetic state, can effectively prevent heatstroke.

If an employee experiences heatstroke, the following first aid measures can be taken in a timely manner:

1. Immediately transfer the patient to a cool and quiet place, lie flat and rest, and promptly report to the competent department and the safety, environmental and quality department;

2. Loosen your clothes and take cooling and ventilation measures to help dissipate heat;

3. Timely supplement with refreshing drinks containing salt. However, it should be noted that if the patient is unconscious, no liquid should be fed during the coma period;

4. Take heatstroke medication. Such as Ren Dan, Ten Drops of Water, Heat Relief Tablets, or Applying Cooling Oil. For those who experience dizziness, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, they can take traditional Chinese medicine such as Huoxiang Zhengqi Water;

5. Severe heatstroke patients should be immediately sent to the hospital for treatment after emergency treatment.
