on November 4, Shanghai East China held a "Lean in Heart and Practice in Practice" Lean I First Case Sharing Meeting, focusing on the company's recent achievements in deepening lean management practices. The conference continued the core concept of "lean in heart and practice in practice" and focused on the three key words of "cultural landing, strategic convergence and efficiency improvement". The company leaders Qin Rong, Zhang Xiufeng and Zhang Yuling, the lean management office, the lean management expert group, the heads of the Party and government work groups of various departments, the lean backbone, the outstanding case representatives and the specially invited guest Wang Zhanzhuang gathered together. Qin Rong, deputy secretary of the Shanghai East China Party Committee and chairman of the trade union, stressed that the construction of lean culture needs a long time and unremitting efforts. She summarized the sharing meeting around "casting the soul with lean culture and empowering the strategic landing" and put forward requirements for the company's lean management work:
the first is to cast the soul of culture firmly, internalize the lean concept into the code of conduct to eliminate waste and create value, and make "lean everywhere, improve everyone can do" become the consensus of all employees;
the second is to closely follow the strategic essences, deeply link lean management with the company's medium-and long-term development strategy, focus on core business process optimization, resource allocation upgrade, operational efficiency improvement, and use lean tools to solve the pain points and difficulties in the strategic landing;
the third is to strengthen the power of practice, encourage all departments to innovate lean methods based on actual conditions, promote lean from tool application to system construction and upgrade, and realize a virtuous circle of "cultural leadership, strategic drive, and practical results.
Zhang Xiufeng, deputy general manager of Hudong Zhonghua and director of the Lean Office, emphasized that lean management is the core driving force for the high-quality development of enterprises and the key to enhancing core competitiveness. It is necessary to always maintain the "empty cup mentality" and continue to improve. All participants should take the case as a mirror, learn methods, find gaps, promote promotion, deeply integrate lean thinking into daily work, promote the formation of a good atmosphere of "full participation and continuous improvement", and inject strong impetus into the company's strategic landing.
Wang Zhanzhuang made a professional comment on the cases shared this time. He highly affirmed the depth and breadth of the company's lean practices in 2025. In view of the case optimization direction, Wang Zhanzhuang put forward three suggestions: first, to deepen the pain point orientation, second, to strengthen the integration of tools, and third, to improve the long-term mechanism.
