9000TEU regular fuel-powered container ship

hudong Zhonghua and Seaspan Company signed a 9000TEU regular fuel-powered container ship construction contract. This is another batch order signed after the two parties signed a contract for the construction of six 13600TEU regular fuel-powered container ships in October 2024. It fully demonstrates Seaspan Company's high recognition of Hudong Zhonghua in terms of research and development strength, brand quality and market reputation, and marks a higher level of cooperation between the two parties.

The 9000TEU container ship signed this time is a new generation of high-efficiency container ship independently developed and designed by the company, which is customized according to the route characteristics of Seaspan company. There are 7 cargo holds with double island design. 16 columns of 9-layer containers can be stacked in the cargo hold and 18 columns of 11-layer containers can be stacked on the deck. The total container capacity of the ship reaches 9040TEU. Through the scale optimization design, the ship has a total length of 274.0 meters, a width of 45.6 meters, a depth of 24.8 meters, a structural draft of 16.0 meters, a design speed of 20 knots and a Endurance of 25000 nautical miles. It is an efficient container ship put on the Asia-Europe route. The ship line is optimized by multi-objective coupling technology, coupled with the integrated design of high-efficiency propeller and rudder and the use of energy-saving conduits, the energy-saving effect is outstanding.

The contracted project adopts cross-border RMB settlement and ICBC Gold Leasing provides financing services, which is a model of the integrated development of "Made in China + China Finance" in the global shipping and shipbuilding field, creating a new model of international ship trading, and contributing to the construction of a financial power and a manufacturing power.
