On September 24th, two 174000 cubic meter LNG transport ships (H1887A and H1894A) held a groundbreaking ceremony in the western factory area of the company.

H1894A is the first ship to be manufactured for the Petronas project. Leaders and guests including Kawasaki Steamship (China) Co., Ltd. General Manager Tomohiro Higo, CMB Business Department General Manager Wu Xianwei, DNV Shanghai Regional General Manager Li Jia, and LNG Deputy Chief Constructor Huang Huabing attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

The H1887A vessel is the second vessel of the CNOOC Phase II project. Cao Shiyu, Senior Manager of the Ship Transport Group of the Marine Energy Resources and Marketing Department of CNOOC, Wu Xianwei, General Manager of the Business Department of China Merchants Gas, Cao Huanan, Technical Director of the Japan Mail Ship Project, Fu Yonghuitai, Leader of the Supervision Group, Li Jia, General Manager of DNV Shanghai Region, Chen Binglei, Deputy Director of the Construction and Offshore/Inspection Department of China Classification Society Shanghai Branch, Zhang Shaoying, Deputy Chief Constructor of LNG of the company, and other leaders and guests attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

Both ships are the fifth generation "Changheng series" LNG ships independently developed and designed by the company, with a total length of 299 meters, a width of 46.4 meters, and a depth of 26.25 meters. This type of ship is equipped with multiple low-carbon and energy-saving technologies, which have the characteristics of low comprehensive energy consumption, good low-temperature performance, strong cargo capacity, and skillful operation and maintenance. The daily carbon emissions during navigation can be reduced by more than 10 tons, and it can reach 120 LNG shore stations on all continents around the world, with excellent global navigability.

The golden period of hard work is the right time to strive. Currently, the company is working together with a focus on lean management, maintaining a rhythmic production process, and striving to complete the annual production tasks. Five new ships have started construction continuously in September, and the production department has fully mobilized the enthusiasm of cadres and employees, focusing on lean production and promoting the high-quality development of the company.
