On June 14th, the company signed a contract with Peter D ö hle of Germany for the construction of four 14000 TEU large container ships. This is another green and environmentally friendly container ship independently developed and designed by the company. Lin Feng, Deputy General Manager of China Shipbuilding Corporation, Weng Hongbing, General Manager of the company, and representatives from the shipowner jointly signed the contract text.
The total length of this type of ship is about 336 meters, with a width of 51 meters and a depth of 30.2 meters. It can carry 14170 20 foot standard containers. Adopting the latest design concept, a methanol fuel propulsion scheme is reserved on the basis of conventional fuel power propulsion systems, which can meet the subsequent green fuel modification needs of shipowners. At the same time, equipped with desulfurization towers and other energy-saving devices, it has the characteristics of low comprehensive energy consumption, strong ship speed, and excellent green environmental protection. The overall performance has reached the world's advanced level, and is planned to be completed and delivered from 2026 to 2027.
