The containment system has technical features such as low evaporation rate, excellent safety and reliability, high capacity utilization, strong anti-sloshing ability, convenient maintenance and repair of the cargo hold, efficient installation of the insulation system, no liquid level restrictions, and a small amount of residual cargo. This LNG bunkering transport ship can realize the dual functions of one-stop LNG bunkering and transportation between rivers and seas. The ship has a total length of 130 meters, a molded width of 23.6 meters, and a molded depth of 15 meters. It is classified by China Classification Society. The ship adopts a unique shallow draft design, which not only meets the design requirements of the ocean unlimited navigation zone, but also achieves seaworthiness under extreme low water levels in the Yangtze River Channel, making the ship suitable for the unlimited navigation zone and can pass through the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge all year round. Achieving one-stop LNG bunkering transportation directly from the river to the sea, it can be called a customized LNG bunkering transport ship on the Yangtze River.


As a demonstration equipment for building a gasified Yangtze River and realizing the dual-carbon goal and a supporting demonstration project for domestic LNG core equipment, the ship also realized for the first time high and low load compressors, reliquefaction devices, LNG submersible pumps, ship-to-ship transportation systems, and LNG For the first set of key equipment such as cryogenic valves, the localization rate is about 80%. At the same time, a dual-fuel powered full-turn propulsion system is used to achieve flexible maneuvering in narrow inland waterways, and it is equipped with an enhanced intelligent integrated automation system with intelligent platform, intelligent navigation, and intelligent energy efficiency.



It is reported that with the installation of the B-type cabin containment system on the actual ship, the ship will enter a new stage of system installation and commissioning, and is scheduled to be put into operation in August 2024. By then, LNG water transport on the Yangtze River trunk line can reach directly from Shanghai to Wuhu, Anhui Province, allowing the strategy of "gasifying the Yangtze River" to be implemented.
