On May 26, the 80000 m3 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier "legendary sun" built by the company was named and delivered at Changxing Shipbuilding Base. "Legendary sun" is the fourth generation of the world's largest shallow water channel, and also the first river sea intermodal LNG ship in China. It fills the gap of LNG ships in China's shallow water channel, has the highest market share in this segment, and is expected to become another excellent ship type in China's shipbuilding industry.

Li Zheng, Secretary of the Chongming district Party committee, Secretary of the Party group and executive deputy director of the Changxing Island Development and construction management committee, delivered a speech, and presented flowers and cable cutting souvenirs to Qin Rong, the godmother of the new ship, together with Huang Dinan, chairman of Shenneng (Group) Co., Ltd. Miao Jing, deputy secretary of Chongming district Party committee and head of Chongming District, Xue Hong, chairman of the Standing Committee of Chongming District People's Congress, Zou Ming, chairman of Chongming District People's Political Consultative Conference, Ni bin, President of Shenneng (Group) Co., Ltd., Tanaka Dun, manager of Kawasaki Steamboat Co., Ltd., and Chen Jianliang, Secretary of the Party committee and chairman of the board, attended the ship delivery ceremony. Chen Jun, deputy secretary of the Party committee and general manager of the company, delivered a speech at the ceremony, and he Jianghua, chief builder of LNG ship, presided over the ceremony.
Chen Rong, director of Chongming district Party committee office, Ni Weidong, Secretary of Changxing town Party committee, Chi benbin, deputy general manager of the company, and guests from Japan Kawasaki steamboat Co., Ltd. and ABS classification society attended the ceremony.

Kawasaki steamboat Co., Ltd., ICBC Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. and Shenneng (Group) Co., Ltd. are the joint owners of "legendary sun". The ship has a total length of 239 meters, a shape width of 36.6 meters, a tank type of GTT No. 96 L03 +, and is classified into American Bureau of shipping (ABS).

"Legendary sun" highlights
1. This type of ship has the shallowest design draught among the LNG ships with the same class capacity in the world. Its unique design draught is less than 8.5 meters, and it is connected to the river and the sea. It has excellent seaworthiness. Especially in the dry season, it can enter the Yangtze River and Pearl river basins of China, and has a wide service area;
2. The unique double skeg line is adopted, with excellent fast performance, good heading stability and high safety and reliability;
3. It adopts double main engine, double propeller propulsion and double rudder system control, and has the strongest navigation and control ability among LNG ships of the same class in the world;
4. This type of ship has highly flexible transfer compatibility, and can realize liquid cargo transfer from 30000 m3 small LNG ship to 174000 m3 large LNG ship, providing customers with flexible and diversified two-way transfer schemes.

As a leading enterprise in the R & D and construction of LNG ships in China, the company has been deeply engaged in the LNG industry for 25 years since 1997 and has accumulated strong strength. From 80000 cubic meters to 174000 cubic meters of LNG carriers, from floating liquefied natural gas storage and regasification unit (lng-fsru) to LNG refueling ships, from offshore LNG storage and transportation equipment to China's first onshore LNG membrane tank project, we have constantly explored, innovated and expanded China's entire LNG industry chain, achieving a historic leap.
It is particularly worth mentioning that from January to May this year, the company has made great achievements in business undertaking, with a cumulative contract amount of more than 40 billion yuan. The delivery date has been arranged to 2025, and the company has exceeded the annual business undertaking target ahead of schedule.

"Legendary sun" is the second ship delivered by the company since the full month of resumption of production. After being put into operation, it will deliver 750000 tons of LNG to Shanghai LNG terminal every year. Ship 2 is scheduled to be delivered next month. At that time, "sister ships" will jointly play an important role in Shanghai's social and economic development, clean energy supply and green industry revitalization.
In order to deliver the ship on time, the company strictly complies with the deployment requirements of Shanghai Municipality and the group company on "grasping with both hands and winning with both hands" for epidemic prevention and control and resumption of production, strictly implements the scheme of "one ship, one policy and closed-loop management", and strictly implements the 24-hour staff rotation system to control the number of people, grasp the progress and ensure safety.
On the same day, the company's Pudong plant also realized two major nodes, i.e. the commencement of a key product and the completion of the trial run of a key product, which marked that the three plant areas in Pudong and Changxing Island of the company were comprehensively, orderly and quickly restored to work and production.
In the next stage, the company will, in accordance with the decision-making and deployment of the Party group of the group company, steadily promote the resumption of work and production on the basis of doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, adhere to the goal of not reducing and indicators, further strengthen the improvement of quality and efficiency and scientific and technological innovation, further strengthen lean production and risk control, carry forward the spirit of Hudong China's anti epidemic spirit of "unity, perseverance, courage and determination", and strive to make up for the losses caused by the epidemic Take back the lost time and go all out to complete the annual goals and tasks.
