The joint research project on the localization of ultra-large liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessels' ultra-low temperature valves is a joint venture between the LNG Technology Research Institute, the core technology department of Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co. Ltd. to carry out theoretical research and practical demonstration of independent research and development, manufacturing and testing of the full series of ultra-low-temperature valves for LNG vessels, relying on the opportunity of the construction of a batch of ultra-large liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessels by Hudong-Zhonghua.

Through the ultra-large liquefied natural gas (LNG) ship ultra-low temperature valve localization supporting joint research project, aims to improve the domestic marine ultra-low temperature valve products independent research and development design and manufacturing capabilities, break the monopoly of foreign enterprises, fill the gaps in the relevant domestic fields, to achieve a breakthrough in the key "neck" supporting products, so as to ensure the stable implementation of the national energy strategy.
